Does the NEA's Support of the Homosexual Agenda Represent You? |
|
|

The battles in America on the subject of homosexuality are extensive. Many organizations have established their policy on this subject and can be broadly classified into two categories.
- Support for the homosexual lifestyle. The NEA belongs to this category.
- Support for traditional marriage between one man and one woman. CEAI supports the Biblical view of traditional marriage
NEA members support, through their dues, the following work on the part of the NEA to promote the homosexual lifestyle in American society and in public schools:
- 2009 NEA Backs Gay Marriage: In the NEA 2009 Annual Representative Assembly, the NEA puts its stamp of approval on gay marriage. This approval further promotes the NEA agenda for liberal social change in American society. In addition to approving gay marriage, NEA works to create federal legislation to legalize gay marriage in all states.

- 2009 NEA Opposes State Marriage Amendments: Should any state propose or have on the state ballot a constitutional amendment to define marriage as between one man and one woman, the NEA and the state affiliate will oppose such amendment.

- NEA Supports Homosexual Programs for K-12 Students: The program titled “It’s Elementary” teaches about the equality of homosexuality and heterosexuality, and the appropriateness of teaching about these issues in elementary and secondary schools. This program is recommended by the NEA for public schools. Following is the NEA’s endorsement of this program:“Schools cannot be neutral when dealing with issues of human dignity and human rights. I’m not talking about tolerance; I’m talking about acceptance. It’s Elementary is a great resource for parents, teachers and community leaders working to teach respect and responsibility to America’s children.” Bob Chase, past president, NEA
- Grievous Results for Parents & Students in Schools Where NEA’s Pro-homosexual Agenda Wins
In Massachusetts, the gay marriage agenda of the NEA was successful. In 2003 gay marriage was approved by the Massachusetts Supreme Court. The impact of this legislation in public schools illustrates the danger of the NEA agenda as children are openly taught about the equality of homosexuality with heterosexuality.

NEA members' dues support the NEA's plan for students to be taught the equality of homosexuality and heterosexuality in school.
- NEA Honors Gay Activist: In 2004, NEA gave a Human and Civil Rights Award to Kevin Jenning, the founder of the GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network). GLSEN is the organization that promotes Gay-Straight Alliance clubs in high schools across America. Mr. Jennings is currently responsible for the Safe Schools Program under the Obama administration.

- NEA Approves Drag Queen Caucus: In the July 2010 NEA Annual Representative Assembly, NEA approved a new caucus to provide input into the NEA’s education and social agenda. The name of the new caucus is the Drag Queen Caucus, providing further support for the NEA’s homosexual agenda in school.
