Forrest Turpen will present “Your Legal Rights in Public Schools” (Educators, Students, parents, youth leaders) In this session we will explore the religious rights of the “Christian” in the public school community. Forrest will answer questions that empower us to stand for Christ and His kingdom within the school culture in legal and appropriate ways. He will provide resources and contacts to assist us in living out our faith in the marketplace of education.
Forrest Turpen, former public school teacher and building administrator served 20 years as CEO of Educators Assn. serving now as the West Coast Regional and National Projects Director forhas been involved in Turn Your Campus planning and preparation.
Richard Nicholson & Forrest Turpen will present “Be a Daniel at Your School” What would "Daniel" do as a leader/teacher in a public school? How can you bring God's love and truth into your classroom? Interactive time, so bring your "ideas and dreams" to share with other Christian teachers. This session will inspire you and you will inspire others by what God is doing in your classes and with your students. There will be sharing of resources to take back to your school. Feel free to bring a Christian educator with you.
Richard was a teacher for 19 years at San Gabriel High. 22 years as a Vocational Ed. consultant at the Los Angeles County Office of Education. Promoting the teaching profession through "Be a Teacher" programs in Southern CA. Retired and assisting Christian Educators Association to Network Christian teachers and Defend Freedom and Truth in our schools.
